Shipping and Freight GuidelinesArtSuppliesOnline.com ships to the USA OnlyAll Continental USA orders are shipped "Standard" unless another shipping method is selected during checkout. Standard shipments are either: UPS Ground, or Common Carrier truck; depending on size and weight of your order. Faster shipping options are: UPS 3-day Air, 2ND-day Air, and Next Day Air. Due to the time sensitive nature of these requests, and the complexities involved with calculating freight charges based on the weights and sizes of items for each order, we will expedite shipment first and notify you the following day of your freight charges. These charges will be added to your credit card, and may appear as a separate charge from the merchandise. In general expedited shipments can add anywhere from $10 to $100 to our Standard Freight Rates based on: Type of shipment requested, how much it weighs, and where you live. You may also provide us with your own FedEx account Number during checkout. Exceptions Rates above do not apply to orders with: 1.) OVERSIZE/OVERWEIGHT Items 2.) Orders requesting a "split shipment". 3.) Orders shipping to P.O. Boxes. 4.) HAZARDOUS Items Your order total will be adjusted to reflect additional freight charges based on the exceptions shown above. Important info for orders with Expedited Shipping Requests: Orders Requesting UPS Next Day, 2nd Day, and 3rd Day Air, or FedEx Air (Bill recipient account) are not guaranteed to ship the same day as they are placed. In general every effort will be made to ship your order the same day however there are limitations as follow: 1.) Ordered items are Special Order, Drop-Ship, Backordered, Quantity only partially available 2.) The order is placed after 12:00 PM Central Time or on Saturday or Sunday 3.) Final Payment can't be facilitated due to problems arising from Credit Card Processing 4.) The warehouse is backlogged and shipment is delayed 5.) Oversize Freight charges (if item(s) are oversize) require authorization from you We may try to contact you the day of your order (weekends and weekdays after 6 PM Central time excluded) if any of these limitations apply, However do to the numerous expedited requests we receive we respectfully: Ask you to call or email us if you need to verify for certain that your order will ship the same day. Alaska and Hawaii Due to the fact that you are not located in the Continental USA, your Order requires a Freight Quote be sent to you based on your location and your items selected. We ship most smaller shipments (up to 10 pounds) via US Priority Mail. Oversize items and heavier shipments require us to ship via UPS, and can be quite costly ($25-$50 and up). We will notify you shortly of your freight charges and wait for your authorization prior to any shipment! Shipping Lead Times If your order contains only QUICK SHIP items it will usually ship within 2-5 days. Any Backordered Items will ship when they come back into stock at ASO. Quick Ship Items If your order contains only QUICK SHIP items it will usually ship within 2-5 Days. Any Backordered Items will ship when they come back into stock at ASO. Your Credit card will be billed for all items and applicable shipping charges now. Special Order Items SPECIAL ORDER items are not stocked in our own warehouse. It usually takes 10 to 21 days (not guaranteed) from the time you place your order for you to receive it. If you order these items your card will be charged now, plus any applicable freight charges. Our Backorder Policy The ArtSuppliesOnline (ASO) Backorder Policy is based on whether the items you have ordered are designated as "Quick Ship" or "Special Order" While we strive very hard to maintain adequate stock levels of our "Quick Ship" items and usually fulfill 90% or more of all orders designated as such, but we do run out or low from time to time. This is especially true of seasonal products or Promotional items. Should the situation arise where we have only a partial quantity available for a "Quick Ship" item(s) we will ship you what is available and backorder the remaining quantity. If the item is completely out of stock you will be notified within 24 hours after your order is placed. In general ASO will automatically backorder products that we think we can obtain within 30 days and send them immediately when back in. If the 30 day window can't be met we will cancel the backordered items. an in addition we will not backorder products if the total value is less than $5. If the backordered item(s) will take longer than 30 days or is under $5 we will email you a refund notice and issue a refund to the credit card you provided. All backordered items we retain will remain on backorder with ASO unless we receive further instructions from you. As a retail distributor ASO relies upon our many valued suppliers to help maintain our inventory levels. Situations do arise that are beyond our control that can cause backorders delays to you our valued customer. ASO will try hard to communicate with you about such situations. We apologize for any inconvenience Backorders may cause. If you have further questions, please Call 1-800-967-7367 Oversize or Overweight Items Items that are OVERSIZE OR OVERWEIGHT will be subject to additonal charges. An estimate of the Oversize/Overweight charges will be calculated during checkout. This is only an initial estimate and charges may vary greatly based on the actual order and these factors: 1.) Shipping destination and point of origin. 2.) Dimensions and Weight of the oversize shipment. 3.) Certain logistics involved with the shipment such as; residential address vs. commercial address, loading dock facilities, number of steps, etc. 4.) Transport method and speed required (UPS, Common Carrier Truck, FedEx, etc.) You will be contacted via email or phone with the added freight charge only if the actual freight charges are more than double the initial estimate you will see at checkout. In that case approval will be required prior to processing of the order. Otherwise the order total will be updated and you will be charged for the actual recalculated freight. ** **NOTE: We reserve the right to add oversize freight to items which may not be noted, but are indeed oversized. Shipments of oversize products outside the Continental USA and Canada are cost prohibitive, and shipping method is usually limited to UPS size restrictions. Hazardous Items UPS requires that all flammable products be shipped and insured differently than other products, therefore, an additional $20 is added to each order containing flammable items. Minimum Item Quantities Some items must be ordered in minimum quantities. Minimum quantity items will be incremented by the minimum amount. For example, if the minimum quantity is 5, you must order at least 5 items. If you want to order more than 5 items the next amount must be 10, then 15, 20, and so on. The calculations will be done automatically for you. Free Shipping Offer Orders over $200 are eligible for free standard (Ground) shipping in the contiguous United States only. This offer does not include oversized and hazardous shipping fees. Standard Shipping ASO will choose the most cost effective shipping method. Service would usually be U.P.S. Ground. Common Carrier Truck Lines may be used with Oversize Shipments. (Local delivery options apply to Twin Cites Metro Area) Next Day Service ASO uses U.P.S. Red Label Service for this selection. Enter time of day you wish to receive your package and we will use appropriate service level. Second Day Service ASO uses UPS Blue Label service for this selection. Third Day Service ASO uses U.P.S 3rd day service for this selection. Quoted or Not Applicable We will provide a shipping quote. If you are only ordering Gift Certificates you will not have to pay shipping. |
