These tools and supplies are necessary items to make the process of bookbinding fun and easy. The undyed, genuine Beeswax, molded into a small block, is used before sewing the book’s binding to lubricate thread and prevent tangles. Sized to accommodate sturdy bookbinding threads, Binder’s Needles have a length that is easy to handle and a slightly blunted point to reduce paper snags. Hand carved with genuine bone, the 6" Bone Folder is an invaluable tool for creasing paper for signatures in bookmaking and in hand-made envelope making. They also make great burnishers. The Bookboard Punch made of heavy-duty alloy steel with a hardened cutting edge is used to make 1/4" holes in book board for binding with ribbon. The Heavy-Duty Paper Awl is able to punch holes through book board and layers of paper with a precision point that maintains its sharpness. The fine point produces holes properly sized for sewing the binding. The 3/8" x 60" Linen Binding Tape is unbleached, unsized and suitable for sewn book signatures. The Linen Thread contains 50 yards of unwaxed, unbleached 35/3 gauge thread for bookbinding. Binders’ Board is strong, acid-free board for books, boxes and slipcases. Each 79pt. board measures 13" x 19" and comes on a package of four. pH Neutral PVA Adhesive is acid-free, solvent-free, water-soluble and dries clear.
