When mixed with water, they produce an intense, vibrant, ink-like color that is more opaque than traditional watercolor. Once the color has dried it becomes permanent, so you can work over the top of it with either wet or dry media without bleeding. Great for all kinds of paper, as well as fabrics like silk and cotton.
